Yesterday, when we arrived, we couldn't see the area around our overnight spot on the Black Sea coast. In the morning we discovered the surroundings at Kısırkaya Beach. The beach looked like a motocross track and not a beach. Our kids had fun jumping around the motocross track.
At the noon time we reached the Bosporus respectively the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. Here we left Europe and entered Asia. It was a crazy feeling to cross a bridge that connects two continents.
In the afternoon we left the main road at Hüseyinli to reach the Black Sea coastal road. At the beach of İmrenli we overnight at a campground.

A warm and sunny morning on the Akçakese Beach. We relaxed the whole morning at the beach. At the noon time we drove forward in order to find a garage for our gas tank (not our fuel tank). Our gas tank was empty because our adapter needed to be adjusted to refill the gas tank in Turkey. In the first town, Akçaova, we didn't find a garage, but we did find a great playground for our children.
In Kandıra we found both a garage and a great playground. After the successful adjusting of our gas tank we were able to refill our gas tank. In the evening we found a wonderful overnight spot at the Sarisu beach and we were able to cook again in our indoor kitchen.

Slowly but surely the cold season was coming. Some of the family took a walk along the beach. The other part of the family enjoyed the view out of the bed in the truck.
We had to take the main inland road as there is no coastal road available. However the main road was in construction and mainly graveled.
In Denizköy we were back at the coast. After Akçakoca we found a overnight spot directly at the beach. In the evening we were surprised by a local man, he relaxed beside our truck and have gave us some gifts from the wedding party of his daughter.
The night was windy and the sea was rough.

The weather was gloomy and the sea was still rough. So we stayed in our truck and didn't take a walk on the beach. At the beginning we were able to take the coastal road. By Ereğli we left the coast and drove through the national park called "Kutlu Doğum Ormanı".
Back at the coast by Zonguldak the rain has been started. Nevertheless here we left the Black Sea and drove to the inland by passing the nationalpark "Göldağı Tabiat Parkı". Today's road trip ends in Safranbolu, where we stayed in a hotel for the night.

This was our first night in a hotel and with breakfast in a hotel. Only Janick, Finn and Luna have slept in the hotel, we and Lotta had slept in the truck behind the hotel. After the extensive breakfast in the hotel we had discovered Safranbolu, a wonderful town in the North of Anatolia. At lunchtime we took advantage of the comfort of the booked hotel to take a break in hotel beds. In the afternoon we had another walk through Safranbolu. After the walk we drove to the south by passing the towns Hanköy, Eskipazar and Gerede.
We found our overnight spot in the nationalpark "Şahinler Tabiat Parkı".
