Awakened by the sunrise over the Medetsiz Mountains (Medetsiz Dağı). This day trip led us from the mountains to the sea. In the mountains we crossed the idyllic towns Akçatekir and Damlama. In the Mediterranean Region we crossed the big cities of Tarsus, Mersin and Erdemli. In the megacity of Mersin we took a break right at a playground.
In the darkness of the upcoming night we have found a overnight spot directly at the coast. We overnighted in the front of a closed campsite.

Until Narlıkuyu, the coast was mainly characterized by the megacity of Mersin and its megasuburbs. Therefore Narlıkuyu was the first possibility to overnight directly at the coast.
We spent the morning on the rocks around the bays. At lunchtime we drove on to Silifke, the resting place of Friedrich Barbarossa. After Taşucu we drove to a campground at the Akçakıl Beach.

Holliday at the Bay of Akçakıl

A little holliday at the Akçakıl Beach. We stood in the same place for the following days, the campground Akçakıl. We made everything what somebody does in a holiday. Slept late, slept on the beach, swam in the sea, played on the beach and played with our neighborhood. What was crazy was that our neighborhood consisted of two dogs, several chickens and a rooster.

A day on the highway. Today we took the highway to avoid the coastal traffic through the mega suburbs and mega city of Mersin. We left the highway near Tarsus to find a place to spend the night away from the hustle and bustle. We found an idyllic place to spend the night in Çavdarlı on the Berdan (Çayi) river.

In the morning we enjoyed the silence and made friends with dogs. Then we continue east and to the next megacity Adana. Again we took the highway to avoid the big cities. In Osmaniye we had a shopping stop in stores for baby-items, electronic and food & drinks. In the evening we found our overnight spot directly at the main road on a parking area but hide behind trees and a big car-port.
