Today we have to say "See you later, Scotland". Before we left Scotland we have visited the chapel and castle of Roslin, a mystical, historical place. Unfortunate we was not inside, because booking in advance is mandatory. But nevertheless we made an extensive walk around the chapel and to the Castle of Roslin. This place is simply amazing and takes your breath away.
In the evening we found a wonderful overnight spot in the middle of Cheswick Sands & Nature Reserve.
We was very impressed from Roslin and very happy with our overnight spot.

Today ended our magical trip with Alnwick Castle, a place contained in many movies for example in the Harry Potter movies. In Newcastle upon Tyne we tried to get tickets for the ferry to Continental Europe but without success. Therefore we went go back to the road along the west coast of England.
In the evening we had an extensive and beautiful walk at the Blackhall Rocks Beach. We painted pictures in the sand, played catching, climbed thore the caves and observed dolphins. We decided to stay here for this night.

From today we have to ride more distance per day because we plan to get more sunny days on beaches in North France. But nevertheless we made stops where we needed. Our extensive stop for today was York with their Minster. Both the town around the Minster/ Cathedral and the accessible town wall was ideal for an family walk.
Our overnight stay was on a campsite at the Huttoft Beach.

Unfortunately the air brake pipe is broken again. The third time during our trip. But at this campingsite, the owner is a hobby car mechanic and after three hours the problem has been fixed. The whole day we have spent at the beach of Huttoft. We have passed the great area of London, in the east, and in London there is a Ultra Low Emission Zone and therefore we have to paid a fee because of the missing announcement.
In the evening we have reached Cambridge and have overnighted at a campinsite again.

The plan for today was to left England in order to spend some sunny days at the North Coast of France. Immediately after the breakfast we went straight forward to Dover in order to take the ferry to Calais.
A great round trip through United Kingdom ends with an amazing sunset on the ferry and a great view to the white cliffs of Dover.
