This was a crazy and nice campground, in the middle of nowhere, lovely arranged with figures as play equipments or gnomes. Also a small pool was in preparation. The road led us between the national parks "Pirin" and "Rila" through a wonderful nature. We took an extensive break in Bansko, a very famous ski-resort. Here we visited the city centre and we had a great lunch with local specialties.

After the break we enjoyed the drive along the national park "Rila".

We found in the darkness a campground in Welingrad/ Velingrad.

Again an extraordinary campground, a campground with spa water and luxus sanitary facilities. It's looked like crazy our truck in the middle of several white motor caravans. Nevertheless we enjoyed  the available pools and sanitary facilities in the evening before and at this morning. Outside it was cold and inside we sat in warm spa water.

After the noon time we were back on the road in direction to east. In the afternoon we had a delayed lunch break in Pasardschik. We parked directly in the city centre an took our lunch in a local fast food restaurant.

In the evening we reached to border to Turkey. Our first overnight spot search in Turkey was difficult, at the end we took a parking area at the motorway close to Köseömer.

Even so we have stayed next-door to the motorway we were able to sleep very long . Our target for today were the coast of the Black Sea. At the noon time we have started the engine of the truck and drove without stops to the Black Sea. TThe Evcik Beach were our first stop, here we had a walk at the beach. 

At the next beach in Ormanli we found our overnight stop with view to the sea. We overnighted between several vacated beach houses.

In the morning we had an extensive walk at the beach. Finn and Luna have no fear of contact with the roamed dogs at the beach. Today we had crossed Marmara from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea. However for the trip we needed to take a lot of dirt roads. 

In the evening we reached a campground in the hills we view to the Marmara Sea. We were alone with several chicken at the campground. The campground became open only for us to have a warm shower.

Road trip Turkey / Road trip Marmara

Date 11th of November 2020

We woke up in an idyllic place surrounded by nature. But near this place there is a megacity waiting for us: “Istanbul”. Shortly after leaving this idyllic place, we reached Basaksehir, a mega-suburb of Istanbul. In the afternoon we reached Istanbul and found a free parking space near Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya Camii), what a stroke of luck. We walked through the historical centre until dinner and were breathless and impressed. Also we took our dinner in the historical centre.

In the evening we left Istanbul and found an overnight spot at the beach of Kısırkaya.

Date 12th of November 2020

Yesterday, when we arrived, we couldn't see the area around our overnight spot on the Black Sea coast. In the morning we discovered the surroundings at Kısırkaya Beach. The beach looked like a motocross track and not a beach. Our kids had fun jumping around the motocross track.

At the noon time we reached the Bosporus respectively the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. Here we left Europe and entered Asia. It was a crazy feeling to cross a bridge that connects two continents.

In the afternoon we left the main road at Hüseyinli to reach the Black Sea coastal road. At the beach of İmrenli we overnight at a campground.
