After a raining morning at the Tristacher lake we go forward on the road. In Kötschach-Mauthen we took our first break in order to send a big postal package to grandma with many things not needed for our journey.
Then our truck have to climb up the Alps respectively the Plöckenpass. At the Plöckenpass we took our next break following by downhill the Alps.
In Resiutta/ Povici (Italy) we found an amazing overnight spot with playground and picnic equipment directly at the river Rio Resartico.

The morning was amazing, shining sky without clouds and breakfast at the river followed by washing in the river and finished by playing at the playground.
In the afternoon we reached the wonderful historical centre of Cividale del Friuli, UNESCO world heritage. After sightseeing we enjoyed again the bath in the river called Natisone.
In the evening we reached our overnight spot close to the centre of Gorizia. Before sleeping we made an extensive walk through the alleys of Gorizia.

An early start in order to leave Gorizia respectively Italy. But each passage route to Nova Gorica respectively Slovenia was too small for our truck. With our truck clearance of 3.70 m we was to high for all underbridges. Nevertheless we have found a small dirt road allowing us to transit to Slovenia.
We took our lunch break at a small chapel in the small town Materija. In the evening we reached the sea coast and have found a great overnight spot directly at the beach of Omišalj (Ucka beach).

Before and after the breakfast a swim in the ocean, we was alone and only the waves from the ocean were hearing. We still stayed on Krk and made a Isle Round with our truck to the southside of Krk and we was overtook by an ebike because of an abrupt ascent.
At the southside of Krk we took a camping ground directly at the beach. In the evening we took again a bath in the ocean followed by a warm shower.

Date 12th and 13th of September 2020
Three days and three nights at one place, Baška at the southside of the Isle Krk. The first day we spent mainly at the beach in combination with relaxing in front of our truck.
At the second day we was more active with swimming in the ocean end the swimming pool in front of the camping ground. Sometimes we played soccer our games of cards.
At the third day we swam again in the morning. In the afternoon we visited with our bikes the centre of Baška starting with sightseeing and ending with dinner in a restaurant.

After a three days break we want to go back on the road. We drove along the east coast of the Isle Krk to the Harbor of Valbiska. We enjoyed the silence atmosphere of the Isle Krk.
In Valbiska we took a ferry to the Isle Rab. We reached the Isle Rab in the evening. One hour after leaving the ferry we reached a great overnight spot within a silence park with a small ocean bay and a wonderful playground.

A wonderful morning with a great sunrise shunning in our truck. We have started very early in this day but with a warm sunshine. We took the ferry back to the mainland of croatia, Mišnjak to Stinica. Then we drove along the coast up to Karlobag. Here we drove into the heartland of croatia, direction east.
In the evening we reached a camping ground in Rakovica, close to the National Park Plitvička Jezera.

Plitvička Jezera National Park is simply amazing. We have an wonderful day with many impressions of the fascinating diversity of the nature in the Plitvička Jezera National Park.
In the evening we wanted to transit to Bosnia-Herzegovina but because of restriction (pandemic) the entry was not allowed therefore we drove back to Croatia.
We found our overnight stay in front of a hotel in Bjelopolje, between Korenica and Udbina.

We started early in the day in order to reach our target for today not to late. Our target was a rafting resort close to the coast called Slapovi Zrmanja. In the evening we have reached the rafting resort Slapovi Zrmanja.

Today we celebrated the birthday of Finn. The whole day we enjoyed the river Zrmanja with swimming, stand-up paddling, cascade/ waterfall showering and water jumping by using sling. Also the lunch has been taken on the river by using the Stand-up board.
In the evening we had an extensive dinner, mixed grill specialities, in the local restaurant. For the night Finn and Luna overnighted in a log cabin and the rest of the family in the truck.

Today we were back at the coast of Croatia between Zadar and Split. We enjoyed the view of the coast and the ocean. In Pakoštane we had an extensive break at the beach with swimming and playing on pedal boats.
In the evening we reached an wonderful overnight spot in the middle of olive groves and a great view over Primošten.

We were woken up by the sunrise at seven a.m.. After a two hour breakfast we go forward at the coast in direction to Split, our city trip for today. In Split we spent the whole day mainly around the Diocletian palace. The historical centre of Split is mythic with endless mystique narrow alleys.
After the sunset we left Split and reached our overnight spot by total darkness. Our overnight spot was not so far from the coast under trees at the river Cetina.

As mentioned before we have reached this overnight spot by total darkness and we were curious to see this spot. The spot was wonderful even so some waste was deposited. We stayed directly at the river Cetina allowing us to have the morning washing in fresh water.
At the noon time we drove through the Dalmatian outback by passing the mountains Biokovo.
In the afternoon we we drove back to the coast respectively the harbour town Ploče in order to take the ferry to Trpanj at the peninsula Pelješac.
In Trpanj we took a camping ground for overnighting.

At this day we still stayed at Trapanj. At the morning we enjoyed the time at the camping ground and the beach, we were alone. At the noon time we took our bikes and drove to Trapanj. Trapanj is a small and clearly arranged town with one supermarket, some cafes and restaurants.
Back at the camping ground we took a bath in the ocean and a shower at the beach (the public facilities were closed). In the afternoon we found a geocache. In the evening we turned on the lights of the beach bar and relaxed the night.

Today we switched only the coast side of the peninsula Pelješac, from east to west. Also we have selected again a camping ground for overnighting. In addition to the beach the new camping ground provides a pool a pre-present for Luna, her birthday is tomorrow.
The weather was cloudy and windy but warm, ideal for kite flying and swimming in the pool.

The birthday of Luna. In the morning with balloon festoons, paper streamer, candles and surprises. At the noon time again kite flying and in the afternoon swimming in the pool. At the end of the day extreme miniature golf until the sun goes down.

After the breakfast we took our bikes for visiting Orebić. In Orebić we walked along the promenade from the centre to the harbour and back. At both ways a ice cream wa included.
Date 26th of September 2020
Today we took again our bike in order to drive to the harbour of Orebić. Here we took the ferry to Korčula where I hurt me on my tibia with the consequence that I needed a bandage for the nest days.
Nevertheless we discovered Korčula city by the bikes. Korčula have a beautiful centre which home (alleged) the house where Marco Polo was born. In the afternoon we drove back to Orebić by bike, ferry and again by bike.

After a lot of Days at several beaches, in several cities and many activities we gone back on the road with our truck today. Our first stop Ston, a city in the south of the peninsula Pelješac. Ston home a mighty fortress built in the 14th century. Our next stop was close to Dubravica within a small ocean bay. Here we climbed over the small cliffs and looked crabs.
In the evening we reached the suburb of Dubrovnik. We found our overnight spot in the front of a closed campground. Before sleeping we done an extensive walk along the Copacabana Beach.

We have took a public bus in order to discover the amazing city Dubrovnik. Especially the historical centre homes mystic, occult and arcane endless narrow alleys. We spent a lot of hours within the fortress of Dubrovnik.
In the afternoon we drove forward in direction to the southernmost point of croatia. On the verge of this point we overnighted under kiwi groves at a campground in Molunat.

We woke up in groves of different fruit plants, kiwi, orange, green lemon, dragon fruit and olives. After our breakfast we left Croatia and reached Montenegro, the start of our round around the Bay of Kotor. First we have to arounded Konavle respectively Vitaljina the southernmost point of Croatia. For the entry to Montenegro it is required to have the "green insurance paper". Our first stop in Montenegro was Herceg Novi a wonderful city at the bay of Kotor. Everybody of the family were impressed about Herceg Novi. Our lunch break was feast with local specialities.
In the evening we reached a campground in Donji Morinj close to the beach"Morinjska plaža".
