The trip was influenced from our issue with your front wheels of the truck. The front wheels were damaged even so the wheels was new. Therefore we decided to change your front wheels and therefore we spent our time around Lourinhã.

Our second breakdown because of sade wheels. All wheels have been changed at the end of 2022. However since this we have many trouble and we have to change the front wheels the second times.

A trip along the cost of central Portugal with a ferry trip ending at a barrier lake called Barragem de Morgavel.

We travelling at the ocean coats but we overnight at a lake.

We have started in order to achieve the southern-western-coast of Portugal but because of wildfires we need to adjusted our route. At the end we achieved the middle of the Algarve coast close to Portimão, Armação de Pêra.

After several days at the coast of the Algarve we looking forward to selience spots within the non tourist areas of Portugal. We found an amazing spot for overnighting and swimming at the Barragem de Odeleite.

A great spot to make a pause from the tourism ways.

Along the river Guadiana which compound Portugal and Spain. We have a great stop in Alcoutim. At the end we have found an amazing overnight stay close to Mértola, called Estação da Biodiversidade de Bombeira do Guadiana.

One of the hottest days during our trip through Portugal. We started with a refreshing morning within the river Guadiana with a break in Beja and a refreshing evening within the lake Barragem do Roxo. Unfortunately we was not able to visiting Beja because of the heat therefore our oldest son done the city tour through Beja without us (see makepause.com).

Because of the continue heat we decided to make only a short tour from one lake to the next lake. In the morning we swam in the lake Barragem do Roxo and in the evening we swam in the lake Albufeira da Barragem de Odivelas.

The temperature was going down under 30 degrees. Therefore we decided to start a city tour of Évora (see separate photo story). After 4 hours sightseeing in Évora we chose an overnight spot in between of several magic standing stones.

A trip through the backcountry of Lisbon with a stop in Mafra, containing a monumental palace called Palácio Nacional de Mafra (see separate photo story). At the end of the day we have found an amazing overnight stay at the Praia Azul inclusive a wonderful sunset.

The trip led us from Praia Azul to Nazaré with one of the famous surfer beaches of the world. We passed again Óbidos and have overnight at a campsite close to Nazaré.
