Today we have started a period of exploring of Portugal's beaches along the Northern Coast. With the beach Praia da Leirosa we have an amazing start. At the end of the day we have found a great overnight spot at the beach Praia do Palheirão.

Today there was a beach hopping day again but interrupted from two beautiful city tours. The colorful fishing huts of Costa Nova do Prado (see separate photo story) and the swimming fishing gondels within the canals of Aveiro (see separate photo story).

A big challenge for us, the bypassing of the area of the mega city Porto. The day was hot and busy with the daily routine of a mega city. At the end we have found a green island in the north of Porto called Parque Urbano Sara Moreira. This park is ideal for everybody.

A day between the city chaos and the islands of silence.

The beginning of a breathless cities tours begins with misunderstandings with the online routing map app. But at the end we have found the way back to our route through Guimarães (see separate photo story) following by Braga (see seperate photo story). By darkness we have found an amazing overnight stop in front of the island Ilha do Tostão.

Maybee our last city trip in Portugal. The time is going forward and the obligations are calling from Germany. Today we have visited the city of Portugal's heraldic animals, the rooster of Barcelos. After Barcelos we are going forward to the northernmost point of the coast Portugal, Praia do Cabedelo.

A day starting with the famous tale of Portugal and ending in the northernmost coast corner of Portugal.
