A smooth move from one beach to the next beach in the neighborhood. We left an busy campsite at the Praia do Camarido and we found FreeSite with only less campers at the Praia de Afife.

Our shortest distance covered on one day.

Date 27th of August 2023

Again we drove forward with tightened hand brake starting at the beach Praia de Afife ending with two stops at the beach Praia de Belinho. At Praia de Belinho we have found at an potential overnight stay in the north of this beach. This spot was beautiful but high-windy. In the south of this beach we have found our overnight spot behind a dune and therore protected against wind.

A forbidding coastline allowing the discovering of the animal kingdom at the coast.

Praia de Afife -> Viana do Castelo -> Darque -> Praia de Belinho

Date 28th of August 2023

At this day we have spend our time mostly at the ocean. We woke up at Praia de Belinho followed by a morning walk at the beach. We took a lunch break at Praia da Estela included kite flying. In Póvoa de Varzim we walked at the esplanade and we found our overnight stay in the front of Praia de Labruge.

Date 29th of August 2023

Today we had the last day together because three of the family needs to take the plane back to Germany. Mum, Finn and Luna needs to go to the school. Only myself Lotta and Janack stayed in Portugal. Therefore we spend the most time at beaches in the north of Porto closed to the airport.

Tourtag 51/ Touring Day 51

Date 30th of August 2023

For whatever reason it is time to leave Portugal. Three family members took the direct way back to Germany, via plane. The other three members took the road via our truck. Nevertheless we needs to speed up because Janick will start their academic study in Germany beginning in 12 days. Before reaching the border to Spain we visited Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Cerveira (see separate photo story). After more than 150 kilometer we reached our overnight spot at the North-West Coast of Spain.
